About the Journal
Acta Psychedelica is a peer-reviewed, diamond model open-access interdisciplinary journal accepting submissions on scientific research on psychedelic substances and experiences from all perspectives and fields of study, including (but not limited to): psychology, medicine, neuroscience, pharmacology, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, theology, and history. The journal is committed to advancing scientific literature on the effects of psychedelic substances as well as their broader societal and ethical implications. The journal welcomes both empirical work and theoretical discussions, and is particularly receptive to research that is critical, crosses disciplinary boundaries, and addresses neglected or controversial issues.
We accept Research articles, Book reviews and Essays and commentaries in English, Finnish, and Swedish.
This new non-profit journal is published by the Finnish Association for Psychedelic Research, run by researchers in the field, and aims to foster rigorous and open scientific discourse on psychedelics.
